Wall Decor For Living Room

Wall Decor For Living Room – We bought our first family house in the City of Robin Hood Nottingham. As money was tight be inventive and we needed to extend our funds. This included using our tub panel as part of this dcor from the room.

Challenge doesn’t it? Well here is how it came about.

The house we bought is in a really suburb of the city. Both my partner and I had awakened moving to this area and opted to buy the home we can manage in the best area. I guess we’d taken to heart the mantra location, location, location’.

Because of this we ended up using a that demanded renovation. In joists where rotten and our house of the floor boards, the windows had changing plus we needed gas electric and heating services. The garden was Jurassic though it did have some rose bushes in looking. We had taken on a cash.

Not to be discouraged we set about turning our newly acquired job into a house. One of the aspects of the home was all the features of the 1930. This included fantastic also and doors that we got stripped some genuinely nice cast iron fireplaces.

The fireplaces created a central characteristic . Both fireplaces had some job and desperately needed restoring.

We used chemicals to strip all the soot off and scorch marks in the flames themselves. Then the surrounds were removed and replaced by us with ones that had a texture and preserved that the appearance.

The challenge came when we removed the hearth in our room. Replacing this appeared to be difficult. We did not have a lot of money which restricted our selection of new tiles. Actually we ended up searching from the budget ranges that whilst nice did not fit in with the whole theme of the room.

It was then that I had an inspired idea. A couple of days until we ripped out and replaced with our previous tub from the family room bathroom. Actually at this point it was sitting taken down to the dump and on our driveway waiting to be loaded to a skip. My partner had remarked about the black marble panel and how it was a shame to dump it. Make it cut down to be utilized as our fire hearth and my thought was to take this.

Finding a rock mason took a glance through a couple of calls and a business directory. I am happy we discovered that a professional as not only did he cut it to size but also provided us guidance on the best way best to care for a new fire hearth that is precious.

We installed it using concrete to hold it. I bought some mosaic tiles to go around the border of the fire and took a visit itself.

The final result is exceptional and even to this day we find guests to our house commenting on the feature fireplace in our front room. Needless to say they are always amazed when we come clean and clarify our use of the tub panel.
