Value City Furniture Living Room Sets – We purchased our first family home in the City of Robin Hood Nottingham. Be creative and we needed to stretch our funds as cash was tight. This included using our tub panel that was old as part of the dcor in the room.
Interesting and like challenge doesn’t it? Well here is how it all came about.
Is in a very suburb of town. My spouse and I had stepped up moving to the area and opted to buy the best house we could manage in the place that was best. I guess we had taken to heart the mantra location, location’.
As a result we ended up using a that required renovation. In our house the floor planks and joists where rotten, the windows needed shifting plus we needed new heating, gas and electrical services. The backyard was somewhat Jurassic although it did have a few brilliant rose bushes in, looking. We had taken on a huge cash.
Not to be discouraged about turning our project into a 15, we set. One of the facets of the house was all the features of of the 1930. This included fantastic doors which we have stripped professionally and also some really nice first cast iron fireplaces.
A feature that was central was really created by the fireplaces in the living and dining room areas. However both fireplaces urgently needed restoring and needed some serious work.
We utilized chemicals to strip off the soot that was older and scorch marks in the flames themselves. Then the wooden surrounds were removed and replaced by us with new ones which had a texture and preserved the appearance.
The challenge came after we removed the hearth in our living space. Replacing this appeared to be difficult. We didn’t have a lot of cash which restricted our choice of new tiles. Actually we ended up looking at dozens of tile swatches in the budget ranges which whilst didn’t fit in with the theme of the room.
It was then that I had an inspired idea. A couple of days until we replaced with our bath and ripped out. Actually at this point it was sitting on our drive waiting to be loaded into a jump and taken down to the dump. My spouse had how it was a shame to dump it and remarked about the black marble panel that is beautiful. My thought was to take this and get down it to be utilized as our newest fire hearth.
Finding a rock mason only took a glance through a neighborhood small business directory and a couple of calls. I’m glad we found a specialist as not only did he cut it to size but also provided us advice on the best way best to take care of a new fire hearth.
We installed it quickly using cement to hold it. I then took a visit and then purchased some mosaic tiles to go around the edge of the flame itself.
The end result is outstanding and we find guests to our home commenting on the beautiful feature fireplace in our front room. Needless to say they are amazed when we are clean and explain our use of our old tub panel.
