Living Room Curtain Ideas – Only over 12 years ago we purchased our first family home in the City of Robin Hood Nottingham. Be extremely creative and we needed to extend our funds as money was tight. This included using our tub panel as part of the dcor from the front room.
Challenge that is intriguing and sounds like does not it? Well here is how it came about.
Is at a very leafy suburb of town. My spouse and I had stepped up moving to this area and decided to purchase the house we can manage in the place. I guess we’d taken to heart the mantra location, location, location’.
Because of this we ended up using a that demanded renovation. In joists where rotten and our new home all of of the floor boards, the windows had shifting plus we needed gas, electrical and heating services. The backyard was Jurassic looking although it did have some brilliant rose bushes in. We had taken on a huge money draining job.
Not to be discouraged about turning our newly acquired project into a 15, we set. One of the aspects of the house was the features of the 1930. This comprised fantastic also and internal doors that we got stripped professionally some nice cast iron fireplaces.
A central feature was produced by the fireplaces . Both fireplaces had some work and needed restoring.
We used particular chemicals to strip off all of the soot that was old and scorch marks themselves. Then we maintained the look and replaced and eliminated the surrounds with new ones that had a rustic feel.
The challenge came after we eliminated the hearth in our living space. Replacing this seemed to be difficult. Firstly we didn’t have money which restricted our choice of tiles that are fresh. Actually we ended up searching in the budget ranges that whilst didn’t fit in with the theme of the room.
It was then that I had an inspired idea. A couple of days before we ripped out and replaced our bath. Actually at this stage it was sitting taken down to the dump and on our drive waiting to be loaded into a jump. My spouse had the way it was a shame and remarked about the beautiful black marble panel. My idea was to take this and get it cut down to be used as our new fire hearth.
Chancing upon a stone mason took a glance through a business directory and a couple of calls. I am glad we discovered a specialist as not only did he cut it to size but also offered us guidance about how best to care for a fire hearth that is cherished that is new.
We installed it using concrete to hold it in place. I then took a visit and purchased some matching mosaic tiles to go around the border of the fire itself.
The final result is outstanding and we locate guests to our home commenting on the beautiful feature fireplace in our room. Obviously they are always amazed when we are clean and explain our resourceful use of our previous tub panel.
