Living Room Area Rugs

Living Room Area Rugs – We purchased our first family house in the mythical City of Robin Hood Nottingham. As cash was tight we needed to stretch our budgets and be creative. This included using our bath panel as part of the dcor in the front room.

Challenge that is like and interesting does not it? Well here is how it all came about.

Is at a really leafy suburb of the city. Both my partner and I had stepped up moving to the area and opted to buy the best house we can manage in the best area. I guess we had taken to heart the mantra location, location, location’.

Because of this we ended up using a that required renovation. In joists where rotten and our new home of the floor planks, the windows had changing plus we had heating, gas and electric services. The backyard was marginally Jurassic although it did have a few rose bushes in, looking. We had taken on a cash draining task.

Not to be discouraged about turning our newly acquired job into a 15, we set. One of the attractive aspects of the house was the features of of the original 1930. This comprised fantastic internal doors which we have stripped along with some nice first cast iron fireplaces.

The fireplaces created a feature in both the dining and living room areas. Both fireplaces had some work and urgently needed restoring.

We utilized chemicals to strip off all of the older soot and scorch marks themselves. Then we removed and replaced the wooden surrounds with types which had a feel and maintained the total appearance.

The challenge came when we removed the hearth in our room. Replacing this appeared to be difficult. Primarily we didn’t have cash which limited our selection of tiles. Actually we ended up looking in the budget ranges which whilst fine didn’t fit in with the entire theme of the room at dozens of tile swatches.

It was then that I had an inspired idea. A few days before we replaced our tub and ripped out. Actually at this stage it sat taken down to the dump and on our drive waiting to be loaded into a skip. My partner had commented about the marble panel that is beautiful and how it was a shame. Get down it to be utilized as our newest fire hearth and my idea was to take this.

Chancing upon a rock mason only took a quick look through a few calls and a neighborhood business directory. I’m glad we discovered a specialist as not only did he cut it to size but also offered us guidance about how best to care for a new fire hearth that is precious.

We installed it quickly using cement to hold it. I purchased some mosaic tiles to go around the edge of the flame and then took a visit itself.

The end result is outstanding and even to this day we find guests to our house commenting on the beautiful feature fireplace in our room. Needless to say they are amazed when we come clean and explain our use of our tub panel.
