Curtains For Living Room

Curtains For Living Room – We bought our first family house in the legendary City of Robin Hood Nottingham. As cash was tight be creative and we needed to extend our funds. This included utilizing our tub panel as part of the dcor from room.

Challenge that is interesting and sounds like doesn’t it? Well here is how it came about.

Is at a really suburb of the city. My spouse and I had stepped up moving to the area and decided to purchase the house we could manage in the place. I guess we had taken to heart the mantra location, location, location’.

Because of this we ended up with a that demanded renovation. In joists where rotten and our house all of the floor planks, the windows had shifting plus we had new heating, gas and electric solutions. The garden was Jurassic although it did have a few rose bushes in, looking. In all we had all taken on a huge cash draining task.

Not to be discouraged about turning our newly acquired job into a 15, we set. One of the appealing facets of the house was the features of of the 1930. This comprised fantastic also and internal doors that we got stripped some cast iron fireplaces.

The fireplaces created a feature that was central in both the dining and living room areas. However both fireplaces desperately needed restoring and had some serious work.

We used chemicals to strip off the soot that was older and scorch marks themselves. Then we replaced and eliminated the wooden surrounds with new types that had a rustic texture and maintained that the total appearance.

The challenge came when we eliminated the hearth in our room. Replacing this appeared to be really hard. Firstly we did not have a lot of cash which restricted our choice of tiles. Actually we ended up searching from the budget ranges that whilst did not fit in with the whole theme of the room at dozens of tile swatches.

It was then that I had an idea. A few days before we ripped out and replaced with our bath from the family bathroom. Actually at this stage it sat on our driveway waiting to be loaded into a skip and taken down to the dump. My spouse had remarked about the black marble panel that is lovely and also it was a shame. My thought was to take this and get down it to be used as our new fire hearth.

Finding a rock mason just took a quick look through a local small business directory and a few calls. I’m happy we found that a professional as not only did it cuts to size but also provided us guidance on the best way best to take care of a new cherished fire hearth.

We installed it fast using concrete to hold it in position. I bought some matching mosaic tiles to go round the edge of the fire and took a trip itself.

The end result is outstanding and we locate guests to our house commenting on the feature fireplace in our front room. Obviously they are constantly amazed when we come clean and explain our resourceful use of the bath panel.
